Château Élan Winery & Resort, the enchanting château and full-service winery nestled among North Georgia’s picturesque foothills, is excited to unveil plans for an extensive $25 million dollar renovation, scheduled for completion in November 2019. The complete reimagination introduces a fresh yet timeless, modernized design while delivering a unique, unmistakably southern concept dressed in French undertones, honoring the existing estate’s 16th century-style charm and legacy.

Captivating Experiences



Beckoning a new generation of travelers consumed by wanderlust and the pursuit of truly authentic and local experiences, the transformation will include a complete overhaul of 251 guest rooms and 24 suites, three restaurants, the fitness center, winery, as well as the expansive resort atrium and lobby with a minor facelift to the existing pool terrace, immersive spa and Winery Tasting Room. In addition, a modern Coffee & Wine Bar will be added to the hotel lobby featuring an outdoor patio.

Inspiring Design


Every detail has been hand-selected and conceptualized by Atlanta-based interior and architectural design firm, Blur Workshop, from the custom-made glass Atrium chandelier hand-blown in Crystal Valley of the Czech Republic to the white Calcutta marble and industrial touches including tufted leather, wrought iron and carved limestone.

Distinctive Luxury delivered with Excellence


Already in progress, the 251 guest rooms and 24 suites in the Château Élan Inn are undergoing a total transformation with a design concept representative of the resort’s vast southern locale – inspired by the surrounding rolling hills and lush vineyards. Discerning visitors will catch the distinctly Southern tones throughout the room’s warm and inviting space.




Accessorized with local artwork, further defining its sense of place, the new room design features a modern palate painted in variations of gray and taupe with pops of chartreuse, turquoise and gold, warmed by rich wood accents and elegant lighting.

L’Auberge will be closed beginning mid-June, lasting until Labor Day Weekend when it will open again as Louis’ House of Bourbon. During this time, we encourage guests to try one of our many other bars on property.

Louis’ House of Bourbon will be an upscale sports bar featuring twelve large flat screen TVs and two pool tables serving craft cocktails and small plates amid plush décor located inside the Chateau Elan Inn.
