BRASELTON, Ga. – June 28, 2019 – As part of its ongoing multi-million dollar renovation, Château Élan Winery & Resort celebrates the opening of Marc Bar & Restaurant, the southern-inspired bar and chophouse, situated within the resort’s 16th century-styled château and winery. Designed to complement the resort’s vast locale, Marc opens its doors to lush vineyard views and a completely refreshed menu with a special focus on artisanal libations curated by new Winery Chef, Jarad Blanton – who brings more than 20 years of food and beverage experience to Château Élan.
“Known for being one of the most awarded wineries on the east coast, Château Élan has an established history for creating exceptional wine. As we continue to excel in this area, we’re pleased to revive the former Marc Bar & Restaurant and invite guests and locals alike to shake things up and go beyond the vine,” said Ed Walls, general manager, Château Élan Winery & Resort. “With our modernized design, combined with Chef Blanton’s revamped menu and craft beverages, Marc sets the tone for a true destination dining experience.”
Marc Bar & Restaurant features a curated list of wine, champagne, beer and an exclusive assortment of inventive cocktails. Featuring fresh sips such as the Bulldog Smash, Marc-hattan, Rhubarb & Strawberry Collins, Summer Cooler, Mexican Martini, St Germaine Sangria and more, those opting for no booze can choose from a selection of hand-crafted mocktails including the Garden Lemonade or Vineyard Refresher.
The cuisine at Marc features hand-selected premium aged steaks and southern-inspired dishes, boasting both small and large plates, as well as desserts, perfect for sharing or savoring alone. Bites include everything from Dry Age Ribeye with Blue Cheese Port Butter and Seared Sea Scallops to Sweet Soy Glazed Mahi Mahi with Avocado Butter, House Made Pappardelle and more.
Conceptualized by the Atlanta-based interior and architectural design firm, BLUR Workshop, the team was tasked to lead the resort’s renovation and deliver a distinctly southern design, inspired by the surrounding rolling hills and vineyards. Accessorized with industrial lighting, French oak accents and local artwork, further defining its sense of place, the new rustic ambiance adds a sleek soapstone bar to the back of the existing restaurant, creating a rich yet intimate gathering space. Acting as a decorative entrance, Marc is surrounded by herringbone floors leading into the winery tasting room which added romantic details and enclosed booths, which are almost six feet tall, providing guests with the option to have a more private experience.
Located within the bustling Atlanta metro of Braselton, Château Élan Winery & Resort is a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts L.V.X. Collection, which represents renowned properties that feature the finest accommodations coupled with attentive, engaging, and exclusive personal service. The resort offers guests a unique destination experience marked by its unmatched luxury, distinguished offerings and amenities. About BLUR Workshop
BLUR Workshop is a design firm based out Atlanta, GA comprised of a team of energetic and capable professionals that have worked together continuously for the last 23 years. Our team offers full professional design services for both hospitality interior design and hospitality architecture. These services are led by industry veterans Liz Neiswander, Foreman Rogers, Scott Sickeler, Peter Green and Scott Morris. Together, this team has been instrumental in the design of $2.75 billion and 10,750,000 sq. ft. of constructed, award-winning work, delivered in budget and on time without a claim. BLUR Workshop was created with purpose. Even the name reflects our vision. We believe great hospitality environments blend exterior and interior, architecture and interior design. We think this notion is even more important in making a great resort. It is this blurring of disciplines that truly represents the way we approach our design process. The Workshop portion of our name comes from a desire to have a more hands-on design process in which models and mockups become even more integral to our detailed and thoughtful design process.
