Group Fitness Class Descriptions

BLT + ABS

“Butt, legs and thighs” plus abdominal work.  A class which combines core exercises for the abs and exercises for the every area of your legs!  

 

Mat Pilates

A series of exercises performed on a mat, based on the regimen designed by Joseph Pilates. This class is designed to improve flexibility, coordination, and posture, as well as increase awareness of proper body alignment and breathing. It is also designed to strengthen abdominal, leg, back and glutes muscles. This class is suitable for all levels of participants.

 

Boot Camp

A no-nonsense military-style workout. Sprints, push-ups, abdominals, basic calisthenics, and weight training are all included in this intense class. Guaranteed to create rapid, body-changing results.

 

Golf Workout

A sport specific program designed to improve your golf game and prevent chronic golf injuries.  The class focuses on balance, core stabilization, strength and flexibility. 

 

Kickboxing

Kick boxing with a cardio flare! Includes punches, kicks, plyometrics, and cardio drills. All these techniques are incorporated to keep you moving and provide an awesome workout.

 

Abs/Back/

Stretch

Work your mid-section to the max. Challenge your abs in a whole new way. This class focuses on training the abs for trunk and postural stabilization.

 

Yoga

A flowing yoga program which focuses on using breathing techniques to move from one pose to another.  Classes focus on upper-weight bearing exercises, lower-body strengthening, torso stability and balance.

 

20/20/20

The first 20 minutes is cardiovascular training, the second 20 minutes incorporates total body weight training, and the third 20 minutes moves to the floor, exercises include abs, thigh work and stretching. 

 

Interval

An all encompassing workout designed to produce total body results. This fast moving workout conditions your cardiovascular system and the sculpting targets nearly every muscle group in your body! It’s perfect for all levels of fitness.

 

Aqua Aerobics

A fun way to get your heart pumping in the pool!  All-around workouts in both shallow and deep water, noodles are used for resistance and as props. 

 

Activity Descriptions

Play Group

A one hour class for children ages 3-5. We will color, play games and read stories up stairs in the aerobic room.  This is perfect opportunity for parents to squeeze in a workout!

Kid’s Recess

A 45 minute class for children ages 5-10 years old.  Meet in the gym and get the energy out.  We play games, basketball, hula hoop, jump rope and much more!

Kid’s Open Gym

The gym is blocked out for one-hour for kids ages 10-14 to shoot around or play pick up games of basketball.   

Adult Open Gym

Meet in the gym for a few hours of basketball pick-up games.
